Kids For Healthy Food: Basic Lesson Plan

The lesson provides students with basic nutritional knowledge and a guide for implementing it in daily life, supported by a snack sorting activity. Topics include:

  • The 6 essential nutrients
  • Whole and ultraprocessed foods
  • Blood sugar and insulin
  • The physical and mental benefits of healthy food
  • Reading nutrition labels

Students take home new knowledge, tasty and nutritious snacks, as well as their own SMART goal focused on improving their wellbeing through nutrition.
